 A private Travels bus traveling from Ahmedabad to Bangalore collided head-on with a truck on the Nandavala Highway near Valsad early this morning, injuring more than 20 passengers, including the driver of the truck and the bus in critical condition.  

The injured have been shifted to Valsad Civil Hospital.  Police and locals conducted an operation on the spot.

According to information received, a private travel bus named BR Service was heading to Bangalore from Ahmedabad early in the morning.  Meanwhile, an Eicher truck was coming at full speed from Mumbai while passing through Gundlaw crossroads on Nandavala Highway near Valsad.  However, the driver of the truck suddenly fell asleep and collided with a private bus coming from the opposite side of the truck divider, injuring more than 20 passengers in the bus and the truck.  The condition of the bus and truck driver is critical.

Locals and police from a nearby village rushed to the spot when the accident was reported.  Both the driver trapped in the truck and the bus were pulled out.  With the help of 108, all the injured have been shifted to Valsad Civil Hospital for treatment.  The injured were rushed to hospital in their rickshaw by locals.
